Develops communications software for devices, networks and services.
Software, wireless systems and the infrastructure behind connected services.
CIR Ventures’ interests span communications, advanced wireless, networking and video over IP. These technologies connect products built by different organisations, with different requirements and operating environments.

A device connection is one part of a working service. Traffic must also pass through access and core network functions to reach the application.
This simplified 5G example shows the user traffic path described by 3GPP. Access and session control operate alongside that path; the diagram represents logical functions, rather than a physical installation.
Creates and receives traffic
Connects the device to the network
Forwards traffic between access and data networks
Provides the application or content
Access and session functions manage registration and connections. Operations teams monitor availability, traffic and faults across the service.
Standards support establishes a common framework. Deployment still depends on the devices, software and interfaces that have been tested together.
A result needs its test conditions. Endpoints, traffic profile, load and measurement method determine what a performance claim actually describes.
When measuring delay in one direction, clock synchronisation and measurement uncertainty also matter.
Customer qualification, installation and ongoing support each require people and resources. A deployment plan should make those responsibilities visible before service begins.
Identify who completes acceptance testing, integrates the product and manages changes to the customer’s environment. Include the equipment, access and specialist work the installation requires.
Explain how faults are isolated across suppliers, who responds and how service is restored. Account for software updates and the support workload after deployment.
